Hey ladies, Katie here!
For those of you that don’t know, I’m pregnant (for the second time around), currently 36 weeks in fact! One thing I know for sure about pregnancy (particularly the first time around), is that it ROCKS YOUR WORLD! A string of new challenges and tasks are thrown your way – from morning sickness, to scheduling doctors’ visits, knowing what you can and can’t eat, tracking your quickly growing baby, choosing baby names to keeping healthy and agile – there are so many things to add to your already busy schedule!
In this day and age, there are a number of resources right at your fingertips to help streamline your amazing journey. So, I have collated a list of my favourite tried and tested apps that I recommend. Can you please let me know if you think I’ve missed any good ones and also let me know your feedback? I would love to hear about your own trials and tribulations through pregnancy, parenting and beyond!!
I hope this helps!
Ciao,
Katie

In planning to have a baby, I do love the approach of just “letting it happen when it happens”, but I for one loved this period tracker app for working out my menstrual cycle and understanding when I was actually ovulating and fertile. If and/or when you do become pregnant, one of the first questions the doctor asks you to work out the gestation of the pregnancy/ baby is “when was the first day of your last period?” and it’s handy to have this information recorded in this app to refer back to (particularly with baby brain).

For use during pregnancy to monitor your baby’s growth and development day by day. Cute little short videos of simulated baby movements etc that keep you in the loop and in tune with your little one. I love watching it first thing when I wake up each morning.
Other great alternatives – Ovia Pregnancy Tracker & Pregnancy+)

A post-natal fitness and wellbeing app with workout videos that you can do anywhere (no equipment required) in just 15 minutes. I love it, as it’s often hard to get out of the house with a small baby, so gives busy mums the flexibility. It was actually recommended to me by a women’s health physio for repairing my core and strengthening my pelvic floor in the early days of recovery from birth.

Something tells me I don’t think I need to introduce this app… Using this app through pregnancy and parenting is a very personal decision for many reasons, but I loved using this app with hashtags (eg. #24weekspregnant) to keep a record of my bump growth for my friends and family, but mainly for me to refer back to.
